Live ProjectPayment Links
Payment Links is a complete payments infrastructure designed to help businesses accept, send, and manage payments at scale. It brings together collections, disbursements, wallets, compliance, and consumer products into one powerful platform. I led the frontend engineering efforts end-to-end, owning architecture, design revamp, and security-first implementations that shaped Payment Links into a robust, user-friendly, and integration-ready solution.
I led the frontend engineering efforts end-to-end, owning architecture, design revamp, and security-first implementations that shaped Payment Links into a robust, user-friendly, and integration-ready solution.
The Challenge
Building a modular financial infrastructure product is not just about APIs, it demands scalable architecture, enterprise-grade security, and seamless integration for diverse partners. Payment Links needed a revamped frontend experience that could handle complex flows (wallets, ledgers, cards, disbursements) while remaining easy for businesses to integrate and adopt.
Goals & Objectives
Create a frontend architecture that supports scale and modular integrations. Revamp the design system for consistency, usability, and faster adoption. Introduce security enhancements (RSA + SHA encryption/decryption) to safeguard sensitive data. Develop plug-and-play vendor modules for easier onboarding and integration. Provide real-time financial insights with dashboards and reconciliation tools.
My Contributions
- Led the complete frontend development & architecture revamp, restructured the codebase to support scalability, modularity, and long-term maintainability.
- Redesigned the user interface & experience across all modules (Collections, Wallet, Business Portal, Consumer Products). Delivered a clean, modern design with improved accessibility and responsiveness.
- Implemented RSA & SHA-based encryption/decryption mechanisms to secure transactions, sensitive customer data, and API communication.
- Contributed to staking and governance mechanisms: token locking, decaying voting power, and reward distribution systems that ensured fairness.
- Built plug-and-play integration modules so vendors could adopt our payment products with minimal development effort, significantly reducing time-to-market.
- Designed and shipped a wallet & ledger system UI that gave businesses real-time control over money movement, reconciliations, and disbursements.
- Delivered business dashboards with transaction insights, settlement reporting, and operational tools that improved financial visibility for clients.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance (AML, PCI, KYC) standards were seamlessly integrated into the product experience.-
Results & Impact
- Enabled businesses to launch embedded payments faster, cutting integration time from months to weeks.
- Improved system adoption rates thanks to the plug-and-play modules and intuitive design.
- Significantly increased platform security and trust with end-to-end encryption and compliance-ready features.
- Scaled the frontend to support multiple financial products under one unified portal.
- Helped Payment Links establish itself as a leading payments infrastructure provider, powering collections, disbursements, wallets, and consumer banking products.
Conclusion
My contributions at Payment Links demonstrate my ability to own the frontend of a complex payments infrastructure product, from re-architecting systems and revamping design to implementing security protocols and easing integrations. This project reflects how I can transform a payments infrastructure vision into a scalable, secure, and adoption-friendly product that delivers direct impact for businesses and end-users.
